Soft Shell Sammy!

Our friends Charlie and Sandy invited us to help them use up a Groupon coupon for a beer tasting at Running Hare Winery, which hosts a beer garden for a Calvert Brewery, a relatively new microbrewery for the area. Of the four beers. Of the four beers served, both Charlie and I prefered the "Good Company Pale Ale".
Afterwards we went for dinner at "Rivers Edge" restaurant in Benedict, a town I used to work in. Lot's of memories, most of them good.  A view from the table. A massive thunderstorm is coming from the west, and the wind is picking up.

I chose the soft shell sandwich, the truly signature Maryland dish; a freshly shed blue crab, fried and slapped between bread, with minimal fixings. It was a really good crab, only a trace of chewiness, and perfectly cooked.

I used to shed crabs on the dock of the building next door.
