It Sure was Hot at the Beach

A really steamy day. Temperature and humidity about 90 each. Not much breeze, but enough to help just a little, and an occasional cloud to cast a brief shadow.
One way to beat the heat.
 No help for the sea gull.
 Another way to beat the heat.
 A Variegated Fritillary in the dunes.
A boat just out beyond the harbor mouth. I can't be sure, but it looks like they might have gotten a crab pot line tangled in their prop. I've done it myself once or twice. If you're lucky, you can unwrap it without having to cut the line
